Question

what does it mean when we say the earth revolves around the sun? it keeps orbiting the sun every year it takes a year to orbit the sun once

Explanation:

The Earth's revolution around the Sun refers to its orbital motion. One complete orbit takes approximately one year. The statement "it takes a year to orbit the sun once" more precisely defines the time - frame of one revolution. While "it keeps orbiting the sun every year" is also correct in a general sense, it doesn't emphasize the time - period of one full orbit as clearly.

Answer:

it takes a year to orbit the sun once
