Question

what is an immediate reference group?
a group that one can join easily.
a group influencing someones attitudes or behaviors.
a group from social media only.
a group that exists only online.

Explanation:

An immediate reference group (or primary reference group) is a group with which an individual has direct, face - to - face contact and that has a significant influence on the individual's attitudes, values, and behaviors. The first option is incorrect as the ease of joining is not a defining characteristic of an immediate reference group. The third option is wrong because immediate reference groups are not limited to social media. The fourth option is also incorrect as they are not only online - they can be in - person groups like family, friends, etc. The second option correctly describes the function of an immediate reference group as it influences a person's attitudes or behaviors.

Answer:

B. A group influencing someone's attitudes or behaviors.
