Question

knowledge check 3. the correct banner marking for unclassified documents with cui is: (select the best answer) controlled controlled unclassified information unclassified//cui cui

Explanation:

To determine the correct banner marking for UNCLASSIFIED documents with CUI, we recall the standard marking convention. For UNCLASSIFIED documents containing Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), the banner marking should be "UNCLASSIFIED//CUI" as it clearly indicates the document's classification (UNCLASSIFIED) and the presence of CUI. The other options either do not follow the proper format (e.g., "CONTROLLED", "CONTROLLED UNCLASSIFIED INFORMATION", "CUI" alone do not correctly mark an UNCLASSIFIED document with CUI in the required banner format).

Answer:

C. UNCLASSIFIED//CUI
