the play. whereas most people would have abandoned hamlet, horatio

side of the story is told.

all is fair in love and war.
the truth will set you free.

Explanation:

The excerpt focuses on Horatio's unwavering support for Hamlet—he doesn't abandon Hamlet, aids him, and fulfills his wishes after death. This aligns with the theme "True friends don't leave you" as it emphasizes loyal friendship. The other options (kindness to those in need, fairness in love/war, truth setting free) are not supported by the excerpt's focus on the friendship between Horatio and Hamlet.

True friends don't leave you.
