were doing this one quick and easy. write a story about your monster set in modern day virginia.
some questions to consider when writing:

1. are there a lot of monsters around, or is your monster the only one?
2. how do people react to seeing your monster? do they pity them? fear them? mock them? treat them like everybody else?
3. how do the properties of your monster manifest? by that, i mean how do the things that make them a monster show up? for instance, maybe a modern medusa has a big snake collection, or a vampire really loves blood oranges.

some possible plots:

1. your monster tries to live like a normal person. maybe they are a hayfield secondary school middle student?
2. your monster just starts doing its monster thing
3. monster hunters have found your monster! what happens?

length: aim for 500 words
