Question

an accomplishment of andrew jacksons presidency was
○ establishing the spoils system.
○ rejecting new voting rights.
○ establishing the national bank.
○ organizing the whig party.

Explanation:

• Option "rejecting new voting rights": Jackson's era expanded voting rights (for white men), so this is incorrect.
• Option "establishing the National Bank": Jackson opposed the National Bank and vetoed its recharter, so this is incorrect.
• Option "organizing the Whig Party": The Whig Party formed in opposition to Jackson, not by him, so this is incorrect.
• Option "establishing the spoils system": Jackson's presidency is associated with implementing the spoils system (rewarding political supporters with government jobs).

Answer:

A. establishing the spoils system.
