Question

what was the name of the attempt by the americans to peacefully solve issues with france?
○ xyz affair
○ peaceful resolution
○ treaty of paris

Explanation:

The XYZ Affair was a diplomatic incident where the US tried to resolve issues with France peacefully (though it led to tensions). "Peaceful Resolution" is not a specific historical event, and the Treaty of Paris (e.g., 1783) was about US independence from Britain, not France - US issues. So the correct option is the one related to the US - France diplomatic attempt.

Answer:

A. XYZ Affair
