Question

which of these characters in the call of the wild is static?
the wolf
hans
mercedes
buck

Explanation:

In "The Call of the Wild", a static character doesn't undergo significant internal change. The wolf is a minor, symbolic figure with no character development. Hans and Mercedes are more dynamic in their roles (though not majorly), and Buck is the protagonist with a major transformation (dynamic). So the wolf is static.

Answer:

the wolf
