Question

which sentence best describes vera’s character? *
a. she is shy and quiet
b. she is caring and thoughtful
c. she is clever and dishonest
d. she is nervous and unsure
this is a required question

Explanation:

To determine Vera's character, we analyze the options. In the context of "The Open Window" (where Vera is a character), she fabricates stories (showing dishonesty) and does so cleverly to manipulate situations. Option A is incorrect as she is not shy/quiet. Option B is wrong as her actions are deceptive, not caring/thoughtful. Option D is incorrect as she is confident in her deception, not nervous/unsure. Option C matches her clever (in crafting stories) and dishonest (lying) traits.

Answer:

C. She is clever and dishonest
