to the europeans, natural resources were necessary to fuel their factories and keep production going. they felt that the co people of africa would actually benefit from the success of their factories because they could buy manufactured good would improve their way of life. they felt justified in helping themselves to the natural resources available but did not a african people to industrialize so that they would remain dependent on their colonizers. they also feared that if the atric industrialized they would compete with europeans in the world market. although the land and all its resources actually be the african people, they received no compensation for them but instead were used as workers for very little to no pay erspective of the african people, the european colonizers were no better than common thieves and africa is veloping countries today because of the way europeans kept them from modernizing for their own benefit.
