Question

examine the following psa
the purpose of this psa is to persuade people to
consider a plan to completely quit smoking
install more smoke detectors in their homes
read about the physical effects of smoking
completely extinguish cigarettes every time.
image of a person with a cigarette and text: cigarettes dont know when you are asleep

Explanation:

The PSA shows a sleeping man with a lit, smoking cigarette still in his hand, paired with the text CIGARETTES DON'T KNOW WHEN YOU ARE ASLEEP. This highlights the fire hazard of unattended, partially-smoked cigarettes. The goal is to convince smokers to fully put out cigarettes every time they finish using them to avoid accidental fires while distracted or asleep. The other options are not aligned with the core message: quitting smoking is not the focus, smoke detectors are not mentioned, and reading about smoking effects is unrelated to the visual/text warning.

Answer:

D. completely extinguish cigarettes every time.
