what is the primary role that invasive species play in the survival of native animal species?
they increase the volume of food supply available to the native animal species.
they run out the native animal species from their natural habitat.
they become an additional source of food to the native animal species.
they help support the native animal species.

Explanation:

Invasive species are non - native organisms that can cause harm to the ecosystem. They compete with native species for resources such as food, water, and habitat. Since they are not part of the natural balance of the ecosystem, they often out - compete native species. This competition can lead to the displacement of native animal species from their natural habitat.
Increasing the food supply (first option) is not a common effect as they usually compete for food. Becoming an additional food source (third option) is rare as they are more likely to be competitors. Helping to support native species (fourth option) is contrary to the nature of invasive species which are harmful to the native ecosystem.

Answer:

They run out the native animal species from their natural habitat.
