Question

creating biosphere reserves are important for species conservation. which of the following is an important feature that should accompany the creation of these reserves?
funding and placing signs asking visitors to please feed the animals daily
protected migration routes that lead to and from the various preserves
prey - proof fences to separate all of the prey from any of the predators

Explanation:

• Option 1: Feeding animals daily is not a good idea as it disrupts natural foraging behavior and can lead to over - dependence.
• Option 2: Protected migration routes are crucial for species that migrate for breeding, feeding, or other life - cycle events. This allows them to move safely between different habitats (including biosphere reserves).
• Option 3: Separating prey from predators completely with prey - proof fences disrupts the natural predator - prey relationship which is an essential part of the ecosystem.

Answer:

protected migration routes that lead to and from the various preserves
