which phrase from the excerpt best reflects hamlets state of mind?
thaw and resolve itself into a dew;
his canon gainst self - slaughter!
how weary, stale,
fie on t! o fie!

Explanation:

Hamlet is in a state of disillusionment and dissatisfaction after his father's death and his mother's hasty remarriage. The phrase "How weary, stale" (from "How weary, stale, flat, and unprofitable") conveys his sense of the world being tedious, empty, and meaningless, which aligns with his depressed and disheartened state of mind. The other options: "Thaw and resolve itself into a dew" is more about a wish for dissolution, "His canon 'gainst self - slaughter" relates to his thoughts on suicide's prohibition, and "Fie on 't! O fie!" is more of a reaction to the state of affairs rather than a direct reflection of his inner mental state.

Answer:

How weary, stale,
