this type of photography by bernd and hilla becher shows what type of shooting style?
a) banality
b) modernism
c) surrealism
d) typology

Explanation:

Bernd and Hilla Becher are known for their typological photography, which systematically documents and categorizes industrial structures (like the spherical tanks here) to show variations within a type. Typology in photography involves creating series of similar objects to analyze their forms. Banality, Modernism, and Surrealism don't fit: Banality is about ordinary things but not the systematic categorization; Modernism is a broader art movement, not this specific style; Surrealism is about the unconscious and dream - like scenes, not industrial documentation.

Answer:

D) Typology
