people find many different ways to participate in their local government to achieve their goals. complete the sentences by matching each goal to the action that fulfills it.
i want to improve education in the community... i want to show that i disagree with a new county tax...
i want to learn more about issues facing my city... i want my neighborhood to have more places for children to play...
goal action
... so i am going to ask the city council to create a new park.
... so i am going to read local news and attend city council meetings.
... so i am going to join a protest outside the county headquarters.
... so i am going to vote for the school board member who shares my views.

Explanation:

To solve this matching problem, we analyze each goal and action:

1. Goal: "I want to improve education in the community"

Action: "so I am going to vote for the school board member who shares my views." (School boards govern education, so voting for a supportive member aligns with improving education.)

1. Goal: "I want to show that I disagree with a new county tax"

Action: "so I am going to join a protest outside the county headquarters." (Protesting is a direct way to express disagreement with a policy like a new tax.)

1. Goal: "I want to learn more about issues facing my city"

Action: "so I am going to read local news and attend city council meetings." (Reading news and attending meetings are key ways to stay informed about city issues.)

1. Goal: "I want my neighborhood to have more places for children to play"

Action: "so I am going to ask the city council to create a new park." (Parks provide play spaces, and the city council oversees public spaces.)
