15 multiple choice 2 points
which statement best describes the orbit of stars?
the orbit of stars is unpredictable.
both moons and stars orbit planets.
stars orbit planets and galaxies.
stars orbit the center of their galaxies.

Explanation:

• Question 14: The Sun is a star, not a planet. It is the closest star to Earth. Planets do not produce their own heat and light like the Sun (a star) does. Also, the Sun is not the center of the universe.
• Question 15: Stars orbit the center of their galaxies. The orbits of stars (in a galaxy) follow certain gravitational - based patterns and are not unpredictable. Moons orbit planets, but stars do not orbit planets (planets orbit stars in a solar - system context). Stars orbit the center of galaxies, not both planets and galaxies.

Answer:

1. the closest star to Earth
2. Stars orbit the center of their galaxies.
